Cracow (Kraków) is the second largest city in Poland – it is home to approximately 809,200 inhabitants and is arguably the country’s tourism capital (in 2024 the city attracted over 9 million visitors). For anyone looking to combine sightseeing in this exceptional city with discovering Polish winemaking, we’ve prepared a list of vineyards that can be visited on a half-day or full-day trip starting from Kraków Główny railway station. The Małopolskie Voivodeship, in which Cracow is located, leads Poland in the number of registered wineries, making the surrounding area an ideal destination for wine tourism.
Departing by car in the morning, you can visit one or several vineyards, enjoy a pleasant time with a glass of wine, and return to the city the same day (perhaps to continue tasting in one of the many wine bars). Because many smaller vineyards do not yet maintain regular opening hours, it’s best to call ahead and schedule your visit—otherwise, you may arrive to find no one on site. Contact details are available on each vineyard’s page on our portal.
