Winnica Smykań

Smykań Vineyard is located in Pogorzany, near Szczyrzyc, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, at the foot of Mount Ciecień in the Beskid Wyspowy range. The vineyard is adjacent to the Koziarnia agritourism farm. The cultivation area consists of two parcels: the first, established in 2005 in Pogorzany, and the second, covering 0.7 hectares, planted in 2009 in nearby Słupia. Cultivated grape varieties include Regent, Rondo, Cabernet Cortis, Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Seyval Blanc, Johanniter, Bianca, Muscat Odesski, Siegerrebe, and Pinot Gris. The vineyard specializes in producing white, red, sparkling, and so-called orange wines, made using the Georgian method. The wines are served to guests visiting Koziarnia as an accompaniment to meals.

HISTORY OF Winnica Smykań

Smykań Vineyard was established in 2005 by Marcin Lorek at the Koziarnia agritourism farm in Pogorzany. In 2006, the owner participated in the "Winnice Małopolski" program, which included theoretical training in Poland and practical sessions in Hungary and Austria. In 2009, another plantation covering 0.7 hectares was planted in nearby Słupia, significantly improving the quality of the produced wines. Since 2013, the vineyard has been part of the Małopolski Szlak Winny (Lesser Poland Wine Route).
