Winnica Laguna
Winnica Laguna is located in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, in the Borynia district, within the Silesian Voivodeship. The vineyard covers an area of approximately 1 hectare and is situated near a small lake and the historic Borynia Palace. Various grape varieties are cultivated here, including Regent, Rondo, Dornfelder, Merlot, Acolon, Cabernet Cortis, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Solaris, and Traminer. The vineyard offers wine tastings, both individual and group, as well as tours of the vineyard by prior arrangement. Additionally, the venue provides facilities for events and accommodation options.
HISTORY OF Winnica Laguna
Winnica Laguna was established in 2006 by Lech Sikora, becoming one of the first vineyards in the Jastrzębie-Zdrój region. Initially, 350 grapevines were planted, but after three years, the area was deemed too small and expanded to the current hectare. The inspiration for founding the vineyard came from Lech Sikora's visit to Slovakia during the Open Cellars Day, where he encountered the wine culture and decided to delve into viticulture. Wines from Winnica Laguna have received numerous awards; for instance, the "Motyle" wine earned a bronze medal at the Polish Wine Competition WINOPL in 2022.
