Winnica Kępa Wiślicka
Kępa Wiślicka Vineyard is a family-run winery located in the picturesque village of Wiślica, near Skoczów in Cieszyn Silesia. Situated on the southern slopes of Kępa Wiślicka, one of the last hills of the Cieszyn Foothills from the Moravian Gate side, the vineyard offers a stunning view of the Silesian Beskids and the Vistula River valley with its extensive ponds. Currently, it covers an area of 1 hectare, cultivating both hybrid varieties such as Bianca, Hibernal, Muscat Odesskii, Seyval Blanc, and Sibera, as well as classic Vitis vinifera varieties, including Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, primarily intended for sparkling wine production.
HISTORY OF Winnica Kępa Wiślicka
Kępa Wiślicka Vineyard was established in 2003 by Jacek Chrobak, who, after extensive searches for the perfect location, chose the picturesque surroundings of Wiślica near Skoczów. From the very beginning, the vineyard focused on producing sparkling wines, becoming a pioneer in this field in Poland. Wines from Kępa Wiślicka have gained recognition both nationally and internationally, evidenced by a gold medal at the 6th ENOEXPO Fair competition in Krakow in 2014 for Cuvée Blanc Brut 2011. In 2023, the vineyard received two gold medals and the title of Champion at the WINOPL competition for its sparkling wines: Blanc de Noirs and Klasyczne Cuvée.
