The spring edition of the PIWI Wine Award International 2024 ended in great success for one of Poland’s leading producers of wine. Winnica Turnau was awarded four medals — two gold and two silver — reaffirming its strong reputation on the international stage.
Gold and Silver for White and Red Wines
In total, Winnica Turnau received three medals in the white wine category and one in the red wine category. Its highest-rated wine was a 2021 blend of Rondo and Regent, which earned 92 points and a gold medal.
Ninth Consecutive Year Among the Winners
This marks the ninth consecutive year that Winnica Turnau has received awards in the PIWI Wine Award International. Such consistency in achieving top results proves the reliability in quality and the professionalism with which this winery is run.
Poland’s Return to the Winner’s Circle
For Polish winemaking, this year’s spring edition of the competition marks a return to medal-winning form after the autumn 2023 edition, in which no Polish winery received an award. By comparison, in spring 2023, Polish wineries secured as many as nine medals. While Winnica Turnau continues to perform at a high level, other wineries awarded last year did not return to the podium in 2024.
