Polish winemaking is growing at a dynamic pace, and more and more local producers are winning awards at both national and international wine competitions. To help navigate this fast-changing landscape, we’ve created an interactive map of Polish vineyards that have received at least one award – whether in Poland or abroad.
The map below features only those vineyards that have won at least one distinction—a medal or a special prize. This is important: we are not presenting all vineyards in Poland, only those that have already been recognized by a professional jury. At present, there are 298 out of more than 500 vineyards that are officially registered.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Markers
Depending on the number of awards, vineyards are marked with different colors:
- Bronze markers – vineyards with up to 20 awards;
- Silver markers – vineyards with 21–100 awards;
- Gold markers – vineyards with more than 100 distinctions;
This allows you to instantly identify the most awarded winemakers – perfect if you’re planning an enotourism trip following the trail of top awarded Polish winemakers.
If you click on the marker, you will get more details about a vineyard along with a link to dedicated page where we present more useful and important pieces of information about a specific place.
Where does the data come from?
The map is based on the internal Polish.Wine database, which collects results from wine competitions most relevant to Polish producers. Importantly, the map is automatically updated after each new competition result that we add to our database. You can be sure the information is always current – alive and evolving.
What about the other vineyards?
If you’re also interested in vineyards that haven’t yet received any awards, check out:
- Winogrodnicy.pl – a portal listing almost all Polish vineyards;
- The official KOWR website – a official register of licensed wine producers in Poland.
These resources will help you get a fuller picture of Polish winemakers – both the established (but not participating in wine competitions) and the emerging.
