Winnica Goja

Goja Vineyard is a family-run winery located in Smardzowice, on the edge of the Ojców National Park in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Owners Maria and Wiesław Gój passionately cultivate grapevines on approximately one hectare, specializing in the production of white and red wines. The cultivated varieties include Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Regent, Seyval Blanc, and Solaris. Goja's wines are distinguished by their high quality, as evidenced by numerous awards won at national and international wine competitions.

The vineyard offers tours of the plantation and wine tastings, allowing guests to learn about the production process and sample local wines. Additionally, a nursery operates on-site, selling grapevine seedlings such as Seyval Blanc, Leon Millot, and Marechal Foch, adapted to Polish climatic conditions.

HISTORY OF Winnica Goja

The origins of Goja Vineyard date back to 2008 when Maria and Wiesław Gój, inspired by their friendship with the owners of Krokoszówka Górska Vineyard, decided to establish their own grape plantation. In 2011, they planted the first two thousand vines in Smardzowice, expanding the vineyard to its current size of approximately one hectare the following year.

The first wines from Goja Vineyard were produced in 2014 and immediately gained recognition at various tastings and wine festivals, such as the 10th Polish Winemakers' Convention in Jasło. These wines also earned medals at wine competitions, including a gold medal at the prestigious "Galicja Vitis" International Competition for a red wine made from the Leon Millot variety. In 2016, the vineyard was officially registered, enabling commercial production and sales of its wines.

Goja Vineyard is part of a dynamically developing wine micro-region in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, collaborating with neighboring vineyards such as Krokoszówka Górska, Amonit, and Kresy. This cooperation includes joint wine presentations at tastings and festivals, as well as organizing events like the Jurassic Young Wine Festival.
