Winnica Srebrna Góra
Srebrna Góra Vineyard is located in Kraków, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It covers an area of 28 hectares, divided into two parts: Bielany and Przegorzały. Grape varieties cultivated include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Regent, Seyval Blanc, Solaris, Hibernal, Rondo, Cabernet Cortis, and Acolon. Wines are produced in historic farm buildings of the Camaldolese monastery, using modern stainless steel tanks and aging in acacia and oak barrels. Annual production is approximately 70,000 bottles, with plans to increase to 150,000. The vineyard offers tastings, tours, and on-site wine sales.
HISTORY OF Winnica Srebrna Góra
Kraków's winemaking tradition dates back to the 10th century. In the 17th century, a monastic vineyard existed on Srebrna Góra. The modern vineyard was established in 2010 by Mirosław Jaxa Kwiatkowski and Mikołaj Tyc. The first wines reached the market in 2012. In 2013, production reached 50,000 bottles, and in subsequent years, 70,000 annually. The vineyard continues the tradition of St. Martin's young wine by releasing a special edition each year.
