Winnica Zagrabie
Zagrabie Vineyard is located in Rybna, Czernichów commune, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, approximately 20 km west of Kraków. It is situated at an altitude of about 320–330 meters above sea level, on the south-western slope of the Tenczyński Ridge, part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. The soil consists of clay and loess on a limestone substructure.
The vineyard covers an area of 1 hectare. Cultivated grape varieties include: Seyval Blanc, Johanniter, Souvignier Gris, Muscaris, Sibera, Serena, La Crescent, Bianca, Rondo, and Regent.
Wines are produced at a winery located near the vineyard. The range includes white, red, and rosé wines, mainly blends, fermented in stainless steel tanks.
The vineyard offers on-site wine sales and organizes wine tastings and vineyard tours by prior arrangement.
HISTORY OF Winnica Zagrabie
Zagrabie Vineyard was established in 2009 by Marta and Marek Polit. Initially, grapevines were planted on an area of 0.1 hectares. In 2013, the first wine was produced from their own grapes. In 2015, the vineyard was expanded to 1 hectare with the intention of commercial wine production. In 2017, official wine production for sale commenced.
In 2018, the vineyard was included in the Lesser Poland Wine Route.
