Winnica Garlicki Lamus
Garlicki Lamus Vineyard is located in Garlica Murowana, Zielonki commune, Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It lies within the "Dolinki Krakowskie" Landscape Park at an altitude of approximately 270–280 meters above sea level. The vineyard covers 1 hectare, cultivating around 3,000 grapevines of 15 varieties, including Muscat Odessa, Seyval Blanc, Jutrzenka, Regent, and Marechal Foch.
Wines are produced at the University of Agriculture's winery in Kraków, located at al. 29 Listopada. The range includes white, red, and rosé wines, both dry and semi-dry, sold under the "Uniwersyteckie Grono" brand.
The vineyard serves educational and research purposes for students of the University of Agriculture. Tastings and educational events, such as the Harvest Festival, are organized.
HISTORY OF Winnica Garlicki Lamus
In 2007, the University of Agriculture in Kraków planted the first 250 grapevines in Garlica Murowana as part of a fruit plant collection. In 2008, the vineyard area was expanded to 1 hectare, planting approximately 3,000 vines of 15 varieties.
The first experimental wine production occurred in 2009. In 2013, the vineyard was registered with the Agricultural Market Agency and the Customs Office, commencing official wine production under the "Uniwersyteckie Grono" brand.
Wines are produced at the University of Agriculture's winery in Kraków at al. 29 Listopada, where enology courses are also conducted. The annual production is approximately 5,000–6,000 bottles.
