Winnica Słońce i Wiatr

Słońce i Wiatr Vineyard is a family venture by Katarzyna and Jacek Fluder, located in the Małopolskie Voivodeship, several kilometers northwest of Krakow. It encompasses nearly 2 hectares of grapevines across three parcels:? Smardzowice (0.3 ha), established in 2011, adjacent to the Ojców National Park; cultivated varieties include Solaris, Seyval Blanc, Regent, and Leon Millot, and Szczodrkowice and Iwanowice (totaling 1.6 ha), planted in 2014; varieties grown are Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Regent, Cabernet Cantor, Cabernet Cortis, Solaris, and Seyval Blanc.?

The vineyard holds an organic farming certification, it avoids herbicides and uses manure for fertilization. The grape varieties are highly resistant to fungal diseases, allowing for minimal spraying. Wines are produced with minimal intervention, including natural wines free from chemical additives. The vineyard offers year-round tastings and sells wines both on-site and through an online store.

HISTORY OF Winnica Słońce i Wiatr

After years of actively running a chain of outdoor equipment stores and pursuing their passion for mountain climbing, Katarzyna and Jacek Fluder decided to establish a vineyard in Smardzowice in 2011. In 2014, they expanded by adding two more parcels in Szczodrkowice and Iwanowice. From the outset, they focused on organic grape cultivation and minimal intervention winemaking. The first wines were released for sale in 2016, gaining recognition among consumers and critics. The vineyard is a member of the Jura Krakowska Winemakers Association.
