Lodz (Łódź) is the fourth largest city in Poland, with a population of approximately 655,279 and is situated in the very heart of the country, making it an ideal starting point for exploring nearby vineyards. Although this region lacks historical winemaking traditions, climate changes have spurred the emergence of new wineries offering interesting-quality wines. For anyone looking to combine sightseeing in this exceptional city with discovering Polish winemaking, we’ve prepared a list of vineyards that can be visited on a half-day or full-day trip starting from Łódź Fabryczna railway station.
Departing by car in the morning, you can visit one or several vineyards, enjoy a pleasant time with a glass of wine, and return to the city the same day. Because many smaller vineyards do not yet maintain regular opening hours, it’s best to call ahead and schedule your visit—otherwise, you may arrive to find no one on site. Contact details are available on each vineyard’s page on our portal.
