Winnica 17
Vineyard No. 17, also known as Dwór Winnica, is a small family vineyard located in the village of Winnica, Brudzeń Duży municipality, on the border of the Mazovia and Kujawy regions, near Płock. It lies in the buffer zone of the Brudzeń Landscape Park, adjacent to a historic manor house from the 19th century, contributing to the character of the place.
HISTORY OF Winnica 17
The manor (Dwór Winnica) was constructed in the second half of the 19th century for the Ciółkowski family, designed by architect Józef Huss. Historically, the estate belonged to the Winnicki family, then to the Ciółkowskis and Mazowieckis. After World War II, the estate was nationalized, and the manor with its park were taken over by the local municipality. The manor was used for various functions over time, including as a maternity ward and later municipal housing, and gradually fell into disrepair.
In 2022, a new generation of owners established the vineyard at the manor, motivated by discovering that former owners once grew vines here. The first vintage under the Winnica 17 label was released in 2025. The manor and its park are protected as a heritage site.
