On the evening of September 7, 2024, the results of the 15th National Polish Wine Competition for the “Grand Prix – Winobranie 2024” award were announced on the main stage of Winobranie in Zielona Góra. The competition awarded the prestigious Grand Prix, and the atmosphere was electric. Plac Powstańców Wielkopolskich filled with wine enthusiasts eager to find out which wines had triumphed in this year’s edition.
Nearly 200 wines, 60 medals, and three Grand Prix awards
The competition was held on August 28–29 and hosted at the Hotel Ruben and the Cellar at the House of the Estates. Almost 200 wines from across Poland were submitted, and ultimately, 60 of them received medals. The high level of entries was reflected in the distribution of awards – there were significantly more gold (24) and silver (25) medals than bronze (11), which is a clear sign of the rising quality of Polish wine production.
The competition was organized by the Gloria Monte Verde Foundation in cooperation with Ferment Magazine. The jury was chaired by Maciej Nowicki.
Who won the “Grand Prix – Winobranie 2024”?
The three most prestigious awards – the gold, silver, and bronze Grand Prix – were presented to:
- Gold Grand Prix – Winnica Saganum;
- Silver Grand Prix – Winnica Margaret;
- Bronze Grand Prix – Winnica Jaworek.

Top-awarded wineries
Several wineries deserve a special mention for the number of awards they received this year:
- Winnica Saganum – 13 awards;
- Winnica Aris – 9 awards;
- Winnica Equus, Winnica Jaworek, Winnica Żelazny – 4 awards each.
These same wineries were also among the top medalists in last year’s edition, which only confirms their consistency and commitment to producing high-quality wines.
