The international MUVINA 2024 competition, held in Prešov, Slovakia, once again brought good news for Polish winemaking. The 29th edition of this prestigious event, organized under the patronage of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), featured 350 wines from 12 countries, evaluated by 25 jurors from 7 nations.
Third Consecutive Year with at Least 5 Medals
For the third year in a row, Polish wineries have won at least five medals at the competition, confirming their growing presence on the international stage. In the 2024 edition, all distinctions awarded to Polish producers were silver medals (Silver Medal and Honourable Silver Medal), highlighting the stable and solid quality of Polish wines.
Medal-Winning Wineries
Four Polish wineries were among the award winners:
- Winnica Nobilis – two silver medals;
- Winnica Nad Jarem – one silver medal;
- Winnica Pod Jabłonią – one silver medal;
- Winnica Rodzinna Ćwielong-Olszewski – one silver medal.
Strong Scores Across Various Categories
Polish wines were recognized in various competition categories, achieving consistently high scores ranging from 84 to 87 points. This reflects the growing maturity and consistency of Polish wine producers, who continue to gain recognition from international experts year after year.
