The 30th edition of the wine competition MUVINA, held in mid-June 2025 in Prešov, Slovakia, brought a historic success for Polish wineries. Polish winemaking achieved its best-ever result in the history of the MUVINA competition. Out of 19 Polish entries, as many as 9 wines received medals.
Winnica Rodzinna Ćwielong-Olszewski
(Previous name: Opolska Winnica Rodzinna)
The Ćwielong-Olszewski Family Vineyard is located in the Opole Voivodeship, in the Ujazd commune, on the southern slopes of the region. The cultivation area covers approximately 2.5 hectares, spread across three parcels: in Balcarzowice, Grzeboszowice, and between Grzeboszowice and Sieroniowice. Grape varieties grown include Riesling, Muscat, Solaris, Chardonnay, Traminer, Pinot Noir, Regent, Rondo, and Zweigelt. The vineyard produces white, red, and rosé wines, available in dry, semi-dry, and semi-sweet styles. Offerings include tastings, tours, accommodations overlooking the vineyard, caravaning, photo sessions, picnics, and organization of corporate events with guided tastings.
HISTORY OF Winnica Rodzinna Ćwielong-Olszewski
The vineyard was established in 2013 by the Ćwielong and Olszewski families. Initial plantings took place on two parcels in Balcarzowice and Grzeboszowice. Initially, the vineyard covered approximately 1 hectare. In 2020, grapevines were added between Grzeboszowice and Sieroniowice, increasing the cultivation area to 2.5 hectares. Since May 2017, after obtaining the necessary permits, wine sales commenced.
