Production of Polish wine intended for commercial sale increased markedly between 2010 and 2025. According to data from the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR), its volume rose from 0.04 million litres in 2010 to 2.14 million litres in 2025. These are the most precise available data on domestic commercial wine production.
This represents an increase of 2.10 million litres, or more than 53 times the 2010 level. The highest production across the entire period presented was recorded in 2024, at 2.87 million litres. In 2025, volume fell by 0.73 million litres compared with the previous record year, but production remained substantially higher than it had been just over a decade earlier.
White wines drive growth
The most important change in the production structure is the growing importance of white wines. In 2010, their production amounted to 0.02 million litres, while in 2025 it reached 1.44 million litres. Red and rosé wines totalled 0.71 million litres in 2025.

Since 2019, white wine production has exceeded that of red and rosé wines every year. In 2025, white wine accounted for around two-thirds of total volume, illustrating how strongly the profile of Polish winemaking has changed.
How much Polish wine is produced per adult resident?
As an interesting comparison, 2025 production can be calculated per number of adult Poles. Assuming approximately 30.7 million adults, 2.14 million litres of domestic wine amounts to around 0.07 litres per person, or just under 70 ml. This is a small amount, but the scale of production today is incomparable with the beginning of the previous decade.
