This year’s edition of TUCHOVINICONTEST brought Polish producers 71 medals – only three fewer than in 2024 (when there were 74). The difference is mainly due to the smaller number of entries, since by regulation only a proportional share of wines can be awarded. The highlight of this year, however, is the three Grand Gold Medals for wines with outstanding scores.
Winnica Dąbrówka
Dąbrówka Vineyard is located in Dąbrówka Szczepanowska, Pleśna commune, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, approximately 12 km southwest of Tarnów. It is situated on a southern slope covering 6 hectares, offering views of the Dunajec Valley and the Tatra Mountains.
Cultivated grape varieties include: Solaris, Hibernal, Johanniter, Jutrzenka, Muscat Ottonel, Muscaris, Pinot Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Rondo, Regent, Pinot Noir, Monarch, Cabernet Cantor, Alibernet, and Dunaj.
The vineyard offers white, rosé, and red wines. On-site amenities include individual and group tastings, vineyard tours, accommodation in a wooden cottage and apartments, barbecue gazebos, and a pond for fishing.
HISTORY OF Winnica Dąbrówka
Dąbrówka Vineyard was established in 2010 by Katarzyna and Robert Beściak. In 2016, the vineyard was included in the Lesser Poland Wine Route.
Since 2017, the vineyard has hosted enotourism events, such as “Wianki na Winnicy”.
