Winnica Zawisza

Zawisza Vineyard is located in Rzepiennik Marciszewski, Gromnik commune, Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The main plantation is situated on a slope with southern and southwestern exposure. Grape varieties cultivated for white wine production include Solaris, Johanniter, Helios, Riesling, Muscat Ottonel, Doral, and Chardonnay; for red wine production: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Cortis, Cabernet Carol, Cabernet Carbon, Monarch, Regent, Rondo, Rathay, Rösler, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard also offers grapevine seedlings from its own nursery, including licensed varieties from the German viticultural institute in Freiburg.

HISTORY OF Winnica Zawisza

Zawisza Vineyard was established in 2003 by Mariusz Chryk. Initially, a small vineyard of a few ares was created near the house in Wesołów near Zakliczyn. In 2005, the first grapevines were planted. Two years later, in 2007, a larger plantation of nearly one hectare was established in the village of Brzozowa. In 2013, the vineyard was included in the Lesser Poland Wine Route.
