Winnica Chodorowa
Chodorowa Vineyard is a picturesque winery located in the village of Chodorowa, near Grybów, in the heart of the Sądecczyzna region on the Rożnowskie Foothills. Situated on a south-facing slope with an inclination of about 17%, at an altitude of 300–370 meters above sea level, it benefits from excellent sunlight exposure conducive to viticulture. Currently, the vineyard covers approximately 1.4 hectares, hosting 6,000 grapevines. The cultivated varieties include both white grapes, such as seyval blanc, hibernal, johanniter, jutrzenka, solaris, bianca, and muscat, as well as red ones—rondo and regent.
The vineyard offers a wide range of wines: white, rosé, red, and sparkling. Wines from Chodorowa Vineyard have gained recognition at Polish and international wine competitions, attesting to their high quality. In addition to wines, the vineyard also produces ciders made from fruits harvested from old orchards on the property.
HISTORY OF Winnica Chodorowa
Chodorowa Vineyard was established in 2012 by Zbigniew Krzyżak and Grażyna Dudek. The initial plantings included 6,000 grapevines over 1.4 hectares. In subsequent years, an additional 2 hectares were prepared for cultivation, with plans to increase the number of vines to 15,000.
In 2014, a modern winery building was constructed on the vineyard's premises, featuring a functional production area and a tasting room capable of accommodating several dozen guests. That same year, the vineyard registered its official commercial production of wine and ciders, utilizing fruits from local old orchards.
In 2019, a local agricultural product processing incubator was launched at the vineyard, enabling local farmers to process their fruits into juices.
Chodorowa Vineyard is part of the Małopolska Wine Trail, contributing to the promotion of enotourism in the region. Visitors have the opportunity to tour the vineyard, participate in tastings, and purchase wines and ciders on-site.
