Winnica Golesz
Golesz Vineyard, located in Jasło in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, is considered one of the oldest vineyards in Poland. The vineyard's name refers to the nearby Golesz Castle. Covering approximately 2 hectares, it cultivates around 7,000 grapevines, including varieties such as Aurora, Bianca, Cabernet Cortis, Frontenac, Hibernal, Jutrzenka, Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Muskat Odeski, Regent, Rondo, Saint Pepin, Seyval Blanc, and Solaris.
HISTORY OF Winnica Golesz
Golesz Vineyard was established in 1982 by Roman Myśliwiec, a pioneer of modern Polish winemaking. The initial plantings included the Ontario variety, brought from Jarosław. In 1985, through collaboration with Hungarian winemakers, Bianca and Perła Zali varieties were planted. In subsequent years, the vineyard became a site for numerous experiments with various grape varieties, contributing to the development of viticulture in the region. Over time, the vineyard expanded to additional locations, introduced more varieties, and the winemaking profession was taken over by Myśliwiec's daughter and son. Today, the vineyard continues to produce wines that are recognized both nationally and internationally.
