The Jasło Wine Trail is a unique tourism project created through the collaboration between the Department of Culture, Sports and Social Affairs of the City of Jasło, the Podkarpacie Winemakers Association, and the Jasło Winemakers Association “Vinum pro cultura”.
Winnica Jasiel
Jasiel Vineyard is one of the pioneering winemaking ventures in the Subcarpathian region, located in Jareniówka, approximately 2 km from Jasło. Established by Elwira and Wiktor Szpak, the vineyard spans over 2 hectares across three distinct locations, including the region's only terraced vineyard. The unique geological conditions, such as loess soils with shale subsoil, impart a distinctive character to the wines. The vineyard specializes in dry wines, both white and red, produced from varieties like Johanniter, Siegerrebe, Solaris, Cabernet Dorsa, Cabernet Cortis, and Regent. Jasiel Vineyard also engages in enotourism, offering tours, tastings, and lectures on viticulture and winemaking.
HISTORY OF Winnica Jasiel
The origins of Jasiel Vineyard date back to 2001, when Elwira and Wiktor Szpak decided to establish a 0.2-hectare home vineyard. Within two years, they produced their first wine, which received acclaim from both domestic and international experts. Encouraged by this success, in 2005, the owners decided to acquire new land for cultivation. Although the terrain required extensive preparation, it proved to be ideal for viticulture. In 2010, they established the only terraced vineyard in the Subcarpathian region, renowned for its exceptional aesthetic appeal. Since 2013, the vineyard has been legally selling its wines, which have garnered numerous awards at national and international competitions.
