Winnica Vanellus

Vanellus Vineyard is located in Jareniówka, Jasło municipality, in the Podkarpacie region of Poland. It spans 1.2 hectares across three plots situated on slopes above the Wisłoka River. The vineyard cultivates grape varieties such as Muscat Odessa, Johanniter, Solaris, Seyval Blanc, Rondo, Regent, Cabernet Cortis, and Siegerrebe. It specializes in producing dry, mostly single-varietal wines, available for sale since the 2016 vintage.

On-site offerings include guided wine tastings and vineyard tours. Homemade fruit liqueurs and preserves are also available. The vineyard welcomes both individual tourists and organized groups. Plans are in place to expand the cultivation area and enhance the enotourism offerings with accommodation options.

HISTORY OF Winnica Vanellus

In 2005, Barbara and Mariusz Czajka established the vineyard in Jareniówka, initially planting 300 grapevines. They were inspired by tasting a Rondo wine from their neighbor, Wiktor Szpak of Jasiel Vineyard. The initial plantings included Muscat Odessa and Sibera for white wines, and Rondo and Regent for red wines.

In subsequent years, Sibera was replaced by Solaris, and Cabernet Cortis was introduced. The number of vines increased to 1,200, and in 2015, an additional 2,000 vines were planted on a new plot. Since the 2016 vintage, the wines have been available for sale.
