Winnica Chronów

Winnica Chronów is a family-owned winery located in the picturesque village of Chronów, on the border of the Wiśnicko-Lipnicki Landscape Park, approximately 50 km from Kraków, Nowy Sącz, and Tarnów. The vineyard currently covers an area of 0.86 hectares, hosting around 2,500 grapevines. Cultivated varieties include both white grapes, such as Hibernal, Solaris, Jutrzenka, Seyval Blanc, and Souvignier Gris, and red ones, including Regent, Rondo, Maréchal Foch, and Léon Millot. The vineyard specializes in producing dry white, rosé, and red wines, both varietal and blended. These wines are available to guests of the estate and on the local market.

In addition to wine production, Winnica Chronów offers a wide range of enotourism services, including tastings, vineyard tours, workshops on pairing wines with local dishes, and the opportunity to participate in grape harvesting. For guests wishing to spend more time in this charming location, two independent, fully equipped apartments are available.

HISTORY OF Winnica Chronów

The history of Winnica Chronów begins with the dream of its founders, Anna Cybulska and Michał Chrząstek, who aspired to create their own winery. After relocating from the Pomerania region to Kraków, in 2011 they acquired a plot in Chronów, picturesquely situated on the border of the Wiśnicko-Lipnicki Landscape Park. Preparations of the land for vine cultivation took nearly a year, during which they also began constructing their home based on Anna's design.

In the spring of 2012, they planted the first thousand grapevines, and in subsequent years, the vineyard was gradually expanded, reaching its current size of 0.86 hectares in 2014. The first wine was produced from grapes harvested in 2013, prompting the owners to move permanently into their still-unfinished house on the vineyard's grounds.
