Winnica Sajak
(Previous name: Winnica Madeva)
Sajak Vineyard, known as Madeva, is located in Cianowice, in the southern part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, approximately 15 km north of Kraków. The vineyard comprises two plots: one with experimental plantings, the other with selected varieties. Altogether about 2,500 vines are cultivated. The slopes face south and west, providing favourable sun exposure. The newer sections include a lavender field and rose garden, adding visual and ecological variety. The vineyard is part of the Małopolska Wine Trail.
HISTORY OF Winnica Sajak
The vineyard was founded by Sławomir Sajak. The first experimental vine plantings were in 2016, with the selected-variety parcel added in 2019. The 2018 vintage is the first madeva wine produced on an amateur basis.
In 2021, the vineyard obtained certification enabling legal wine sales. The vineyard holds tastings and participates in wine tourism events. Its farm context, called “Różowe Pole”, combines viticulture with flower cultivation and guest-oriented open days.
