Vineyards in the vicinity of Kazimierz Dolny

The Landscape of Kazimierz Dolny

Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula is a small town with approximately 2,537 inhabitants. Despite its size, the region known as the Małopolski Przełom Wisły boasts excellent viticultural conditions: chalky and loess soils combined with the Vistula’s moderating microclimate have long supported high-quality wine production. Numerous vineyards operate around Kazimierz Dolny, some of which are part of the Szlak Winiarski Małopolskiego Przełomu Wisły, and the area is a major tourist draw – attracting over one million visitors annually.

Departing by car in the morning, you can visit one or several wineries, enjoy a pleasant time with a glass of wine, and return to Kazimierz Dolny the same day (perhaps for further tasting in one of the many wine cellars or wine bars). Because many smaller wineries do not yet keep regular opening hours, it’s best to call ahead and schedule your visit—otherwise, you may arrive to find no one on site. Contact details are available on each winery’s page on our portal.
