Winnica Modła
Modła Vineyard is a small, family-run estate located in Mychów village near Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, at the foothills of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and beside the Modła River — the source of its name. It covers about 1.07 hectares, primarily on loess soils. The main plot faces south with a slope of roughly 30-40%, ensuring good sun exposure for the vines.
Viticulture follows natural methods, minimizing artificial intervention. The vineyard offers tastings and wine sales, and hosts visitors interested in wine production. Modła Vineyard is a member of the Association of Winemakers of the Małopolski Przełom Wisły, which connects it with the regional wine trail.
HISTORY OF Winnica Modła
Modła Vineyard was established in 2010 by Anna and Tomasz Stola. It began as a small experimental vineyard, and in 2012 they acquired a larger plot by the Modła River, previously unused for decades. The first vintage made available for sale was 2015.
