Winnica Janeczko
Janeczko Vineyard is a family-run winery situated on a south-western hillside in Wilczyce, just under Sandomierz. Its location ensures excellent sunlight for most of the day, benefiting grape ripening and wine quality. The vineyard covers over 4 hectares of plantings, and features careful selection of grape varieties under high quality standards. Historical military structures — bunkers and observation towers from a former communications unit — have been repurposed as natural cellars where the wines are aged. These spaces provide a microclimate of stable temperature and high humidity, aiding the refinement of wine profiles. Janeczko Vineyard also offers tastings on site and operates an online shop with delivery across Poland.
HISTORY OF Winnica Janeczko
Janeczko Vineyard was born out of inspiration: during a trip, the founders spotted a hill in Wilczyce with a view toward an old military unit and knew immediately that this was where they would build their vineyard. The first plantings began in 2018, following careful planning and observation of the site. Over time, the vineyard expanded, testing which varieties suit the lessive hills of Wilczyce best.
