Winnica z Gór Pieprzowych

Winnica z Gór Pieprzowych is a family-owned vineyard located in the Góry Pieprzowe nature reserve, in the village of Kamień Łukawski, near Sandomierz. The vineyard covers an area of 1.3 hectares on the south-facing slopes of the Góry Pieprzowe, where loess soils and shales create optimal conditions for vine cultivation. Cultivated grape varieties include Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, Riesling, Muscat Odeski, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Cortis, Dornfelder, Leon Millot, Rondo, and Regent. The vineyard offers enotourism activities, including tastings in a dedicated shelter, organizing bonfires, barbecues, boat trips on the Vistula River using a Dubas-type boat, and picturesque photo sessions.

HISTORY OF Winnica z Gór Pieprzowych

The owners' adventure with winemaking began by chance in 2009 when, during a May weekend, they fell in love with the Sandomierz area and purchased a plot in the Góry Pieprzowe. Initially, they planted fruit trees, but due to high summer temperatures, they decided to establish a vineyard. In 2015, they planted the first seedlings of varieties such as Rondo, Regent, Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, and Muscat Odeski. In 2016, the owner completed a one-year Practical Winemaking Course at the Podkarpacka Wine Academy in Jasło. That same year, they purchased another 1.3-hectare plot, where in 2019, additional grapevines were planted. The first wine was produced in 2017, bringing the owners immense joy and satisfaction.
