Bydgoszcz is one of Poland’s larger cities, with approximately 339,000 inhabitants. In recent years, the city has undergone significant urban renewal projects, revitalizing the Brda riverfront and creating vibrant new public spaces. Although Bydgoszcz area’s climate is not traditionally suited for viticulture, the surrounding area has seen the emergence of pioneering winery projects producing interesting wines.
For anyone looking to combine sightseeing in this dynamic city with discovering Polish winemaking, we’ve prepared a list of vineyards reachable within a half-day or full-day trip starting from Bydgoszcz Główna railway station.
Departing by car in the morning, you can visit one or several vineyards, enjoy a pleasant time with a glass of wine, and return to the city the same day (perhaps to continue tasting in one of the many wine bars). Because many smaller vineyards do not yet maintain regular opening hours, it’s best to call ahead and schedule your visit—otherwise, you may arrive to find no one on site. Contact details are available on each vineyard’s page on our portal.
