The first results of this year’s important Polish wine competitions are public. We are talking about WINOPL 2025, the fifth edition of which took place a few days ago and its results have just been revealed. This year, 470 Polish wines from 102 wineries were submitted for evaluation. This is less than in the previous edition, when 554 wines from 127 Polish wineries were in the competition.

Along with the drop in the number of entries, fewer medals were automatically awarded – a total of 129. This is due to the regulatory restriction that only 30% of all wines entered may receive an award (medal), regardless of the level presented. As every year, the evaluation committee awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in six categories and – in selected cases – Champion titles, i.e. the best wine of a given category:

  • 10 gold medals (including four Champion titles),
  • 34 silver medals,
  • 85 bronze medals.

The laureates also included wineries-debutants who were awarded for the first time in this competition.

Below is the list of the most awarded wineries in this edition:

Looking at the list of the most awarded wineries in the history of the entire WINOPL competition (i.e. taking into account all five editions to date), we see that there has been a slight reshuffling and the most awarded wineries to date have strengthened their lead:

Anyone interested in watching the proceedings of this year’s awards ceremony (along with comments from selected winemakers on the winning wines) is recommended to watch the almost hour-long video content available on the FB profile of the competition organiser (available in Polish):

We also encourage you to read the detailed results published in the source material on the organiser’s website and on our website dedicated to the WINOPL 2025 edition.

Finally, we would like to congratulate all the award winners for the fruit of their labour and the passion they have put into the development of Polish winemaking. We wish you further success and perseverance in the next editions of this demanding competition, which for years has been setting quality standards for the domestic wine market!
