WINOPL - Konkurs Win Polskich

WINOPL Polish Wine Competition is organized in Poznań by the Poznań International Fair as part of the Polish Wine and Vineyards Fair WINO. Its aim is to promote Polish winemaking and domestic wines. The competition has been held since 2021. Participants may only include producers and businesses registered with KOWR, submitting wines made from grapes grown in Poland.

Wines are judged anonymously by an expert jury using the OIV 100-point system. Categories include white, rosé, red (dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet), as well as sparkling, sweet, and special wines (e.g. orange, fortified).

Awards include Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals (respectively ≥88, ≥84 and ≥80 pts), the title of Champion for the best wine in each category, and a special prize – a wine purchase contract worth 5,000 PLN. No more than 30% of submitted wines may receive medals. Results are announced by the end of February on the organizer’s website and in the fair catalog.
