11th Polish Wine Competition Jasło 2024: Grand Prix for Zweigelt from Winnica Ingrid

Medals of the Polish Wine Competition in Jaslo

The results of the 11th edition of the Polish Wine Competition Jasło 2024 have been announced. This prestigious event is dedicated exclusively to wines produced in Poland and once again highlighted the growing quality and diversity of the domestic wine scene. This year, the jury awarded a total of 117 medals to professional wineries (those officially registered as wine producers) and 8 prizes to amateur wineries.

Significantly fewer medals than last year

This year’s edition saw a notable drop in the number of awards compared to the record-breaking 2023 edition, which saw exactly 200 medals handed out. This decrease could stem from a lower number of submitted wines or from more rigorous judging criteria that left fewer wines above the medal threshold. Unfortunately, we do not know the specific details on the reason behind the drop.

Zweigelt from Winnica Ingrid named the best wine of the competition

This year, the following medals were awarded:

  • 6 gold medals;
  • 17 silver medals;
  • 94 bronze medals.

As in previous years, a Champion was selected in each category, and one wine was honored with the Grand Prix for the best wine of the competition. This year’s top distinction went to the Zweigelt from Winnica Ingrid, competing in the category of red wines.

Winnica Aris leads in medal count

The most decorated winery in this year’s edition was once again Winnica Aris, receiving 7 awards. Winnica Piwnice Antoniego and Winnica Ingrid each took home 5 medals.

Wineries that received 4 awards include:

Congratulations to all winners!

We warmly congratulate all awarded wineries and wish them continued success in future editions of the competition. The 2024 results demonstrate that Polish wine continues to evolve – not only in quality but also in the increasingly high standards set by the judging process.
