The Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Trail is a route connecting local craft breweries and vineyards, officially established in 2018 as an initiative of the Stowarzyszenie Winnice Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian Vineyards Association) and the Dolnośląskie Stowarzyszenie Browarów Rzemieślniczych (Lower Silesian Craft Breweries Association), supported by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Winnica Otok
Winnica Otok is located in the village of Pogorzała, within the buffer zone of the Książ Landscape Park, at an altitude of 426 meters above sea level. It covers an area of approximately 1.5 hectares, cultivating grape varieties such as Auxerrois, Pinot Noir, Ehrenfelser, Solaris, Baron, Regent, and Frühburgunder. The vineyard's soil consists of layers of mudstone shale, marl, conglomerates, and Devonian limestone. The vineyard offers tastings for guests upon prior contact.
HISTORY OF Winnica Otok
Winnica Otok was established in 2011 by Ireneusz Gąsior and Jacek Miller. Initially, 2,000 grapevines were planted on the southern slope of Mount Otok. Currently, this number has increased to approximately 6,000 vines. In 2017, one of the vineyard's wines received a silver medal at the 8th National Wine Competition in Zielona Góra.
