Winnica Czarna Stodoła
The Czarna Stodoła Winery is located in the village of Tąpadła, in the Marcinowice commune of Lower Silesia, within the Ślężański Landscape Park. The vineyard's vine plantings stretch at the foot of the Ślęża massif, beyond the Tąpadła Pass, on the western side of the mountains. The name Czarna Stodoła refers to the black barn standing near the plantings; looking towards the winery, the Ślęża massif can be seen, and in clear weather — Śnieżka.
At the Czarna Stodoła Winery, the wines bear names associated with animals and places around the farm. The winery's offerings include the labels Niebo, whose face is the owners' British cat, Lili — a Belgian mare, Królik, Nora featuring an image of a common blackbird, and Róż!. The Czarna Stodoła Winery produces white, dry, and semi-sweet wines.
For the enotourist, the Czarna Stodoła Winery is a destination in the vicinity of Ślęży: the owners welcome guests, and the winery's wines are available in official sale. A visit to the Czarna Stodoła Winery can be combined with a walk to Śnieżka (1602 m above sea level), the highest peak of the Sudetes, located a few kilometers to the north of the winery.
HISTORY OF Winnica Czarna Stodoła
The Czarna Stodoła Winery was founded in 2018, when Julia Ciechowicz and Kuba Górski made the first vine plantings. The Czarna Stodoła Winery covers an area of one hectare; five grape varieties were registered in the national winery registry.
The first grape harvest at the Czarna Stodoła Winery took place in 2019. Wines from this harvest did not reach the market: on a night in February 2020, unknown perpetrators emptied the contents of the wine tanks, and the must, according to the owners' account, was drunk by the earth around the black barn. The Czarna Stodoła Winery considers the 2020 harvest a success; from these grapes the winery's first labels were created: Niebo, Lili, Nora, Królik, and Róż!.
