The Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Trail is a route connecting local craft breweries and vineyards, officially established in 2018 as an initiative of the Stowarzyszenie Winnice Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian Vineyards Association) and the Dolnośląskie Stowarzyszenie Browarów Rzemieślniczych (Lower Silesian Craft Breweries Association), supported by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Winnica Celtica
Celtica Vineyard is located in Sobótka, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The vineyard spans approximately 1 hectare, with over 5,300 grapevines. Cultivated varieties include Gewürztraminer, Solaris, Regent, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Johanniter. Additionally, trial plantings of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Muscat Ottonel are in place. The vineyard also maintains about 2,000 blackcurrant bushes. Production encompasses white, red, rosé, blackcurrant, and multi-fruit wines. Winemaking takes place in a historic building of the former municipal gasworks from 1902. The vineyard offers tastings, on-site wine sales, and accommodation in five double rooms.
HISTORY OF Winnica Celtica
In 2010, Katarzyna and Przemysław Demków began experimenting with winemaking using purchased grapes. In subsequent years, they established a vineyard on the eastern slopes of Mount Ślęża, planting over 5,300 grapevines and about 2,000 blackcurrant bushes. Wine production takes place in a historic former municipal gasworks building in Sobótka, built in 1902. In 2017, the winery expanded its offerings to include five double guest rooms. Currently, the vineyard produces 12 grape wines, as well as blackcurrant and multi-fruit wines.
