The Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Trail is a route connecting local craft breweries and vineyards, officially established in 2018 as an initiative of the Stowarzyszenie Winnice Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian Vineyards Association) and the Dolnośląskie Stowarzyszenie Browarów Rzemieślniczych (Lower Silesian Craft Breweries Association), supported by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Winnica Kindler
Kindler Vineyard is a family-run winery located in Uniejowice, in the Kaczawskie Foothills, within the Land of Extinct Volcanoes, at the foot of Grodziec Castle, approximately 100 km west of Wrocław. Currently, the vineyard spans over two hectares, cultivating noble grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Johanniter, Solaris, and Riesling. The unique basalt soil, a remnant of ancient volcanic activity, imparts a distinctive minerality to the wines. The vineyard specializes in producing white, rosé, and red wines, with plans to introduce sparkling wines made using the traditional method. Kindler Vineyard offers tours combined with tastings, during which guests can sample 3-5 wines and purchase the tasted products on-site.
HISTORY OF Winnica Kindler
Kindler Vineyard was established in 2012 by Kamil Kindler, initially as a hobby project aimed at providing a respite from professional work. The initial grapevine plantings confirmed the potential of the location, prompting the owner to expand the vineyard. Currently, the cultivation covers over two hectares of noble grape varieties. The vineyard has gained recognition among wine enthusiasts, with its wines available in hotels and restaurants. The owner plans to expand the offering to include sparkling wines produced using the traditional method, drawing on the historical traditions of Silesian winemaking.
