The Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Trail is a route connecting local craft breweries and vineyards, officially established in 2018 as an initiative of the Stowarzyszenie Winnice Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian Vineyards Association) and the Dolnośląskie Stowarzyszenie Browarów Rzemieślniczych (Lower Silesian Craft Breweries Association), supported by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Winnica Jakubów
Winnica Jakubów is located in the picturesque village of Jakubów in Lower Silesia, in the central part of the Dalkowskie Hills, at an altitude of approximately 200 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 4.5 hectares of sunny, south-facing slopes, creating ideal conditions for vine cultivation. The cultivated grape varieties include Riesling, Hibernal, Traminer, Solaris, Chardonnay, Dornfelder, Rondo, Regent, Pinot Noir, and Zweigelt. The vineyard practices cultivation with respect for the natural environment, using organic fertilizers and avoiding unnecessary chemical treatments. Maintenance work and harvesting are done by hand, allowing for wines that reflect the character of the variety and the vineyard's terroir.
HISTORY OF Winnica Jakubów
The vineyard was established in 2002 by Artur Pajdosz as one of the pioneering vineyards in Poland. Since 2013, it has been run by his son, Michał Pajdosz, who continues the family winemaking traditions. With twenty years of experience in cultivation and vinification, along with the owner's biotechnological education, wines from Winnica Jakubów have gained recognition at many wine competitions. The vineyard is also a member of the Stowarzyszenie Winnice Dolnośląskie (Association of Lower Silesian Vineyards) and is located on the Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Route, reflecting its commitment to the development of regional winemaking.
