Julia Vineyard is a family-run winery located in Stary Kisielin, just 5 km from the center of Zielona Góra. Covering approximately 3.3 hectares, it cultivates both traditional varieties such as Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Silvaner, and modern cultivars like Solaris, Muscaris, Johanniter, and Cabernet Cortis. The wines produced at Julia Vineyard are crafted using traditional methods from hand-picked grapes subjected to careful selection. The vineyard specializes in white wines made from noble Vitis Vinifera varieties like Riesling and Traminer. They are also introducing promising new varieties: Muscaris, Johanniter, Solaris, and Souvignier Gris. Red wines, from historical varieties like Pinot Noir and modern ones like Monarch and Cabernet Cortis, are aged in oak barrels. The vineyard offers tours combined with tastings, as well as the opportunity to purchase wines on-site.
HISTORY OF Winnica Julia
Julia Vineyard was founded in 2003 by Małgorzata and Roman Grad as an amateur cultivation on a 0.2-hectare plot in Stary Kisielin. In 2007, the vineyard began welcoming tourists as part of its enotourism offerings, participating in initiatives such as Open Vineyard Weekends, the Wine Explorer's Passport, and the Wine Culture Festival – Winobusy. In 2014, the Miniature Park of Historic Wine Facilities was opened on the vineyard's grounds, showcasing models related to Zielona Góra's winemaking traditions. That same year, a second vineyard was established—a 3-hectare field cultivation in Zabór, part of the Lubusz Self-Government Vineyard. Since 2015, the vineyard has been registered as a wine producer, allowing for the legal sale of its products.
