Hople - Winnica Poraj Paczków
Hople Vineyard, also known as Poraj Paczków Vineyard, is a picturesque estate located in Paczków, within the Opole Voivodeship of Poland. Spanning 5 hectares, the vineyard cultivates both white and red grape varieties. The white varieties include Kerner, Kernling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Siegerrebe, Chardonnay, Traminer, Riesling, Johanniter, and Seyval Blanc. The red varieties consist of Pinot Noir (four clones), Acolon, Cabernet Cortis, Regent, and Rondo.
At the heart of the vineyard stands a restored 18th-century barn, serving as the winery. It is within these brick-vaulted cellars that wine production and guest tastings take place.
HISTORY OF Hople - Winnica Poraj Paczków
Hople Vineyard was established in 2005 by Marcin Biernacki, who, inspired by the success of initial grapevine plantings serving as a hedge, decided to expand cultivation on a larger scale. The acquisition of an abandoned 19th-century palace in Paczków, along with a neighboring dilapidated farmstead, laid the foundation for the vineyard's creation. Benefiting from its favorable location on a southeast-facing slope with optimal incline and a conducive microclimate, the vineyard successfully produces wines that have garnered recognition among connoisseurs and at professional competitions.
