Winnica De Sas
De Sas Vineyard is located in Czeszyce, Krośnice commune, within the Barycz Valley Landscape Park. The cultivation area covers approximately 3 hectares, divided into 7 plots. Grape varieties grown include Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Solaris, Pinot Gris, Regent, Pinot Noir, and Dornfelder.
Wines are produced using the Qvevri method, involving fermentation in clay amphorae buried underground. The vineyard has 10 such vessels, crafted by Georgian ceramist Leri Papidze.
On the vineyard grounds, there is a winery and a rural tourism house with 13 accommodation places. Wine tastings, concerts, and cultural events are organized.
HISTORY OF Winnica De Sas
De Sas Vineyard was established in 2006 by Anna and Kaukaz Zuber. Initial plantings included several grape varieties, and in subsequent years, the vineyard expanded to 3 hectares.
In 2019, a jazz concert by the duo Fredrik Ljungkvist and Ingebrigt Haker Flaten took place at the vineyard, and the recording was released as the album "Live at Winnica de Sas".
