Konkurs Polskich Win Jasło
Konkurs Polskich Win Jasło (Polish Wine Competition in Jasło) is held annually by the Jasło Winemakers’ Association Vinum pro cultura in cooperation with the Polish Sommelier Association. The first edition of the competition took place in 2014. Only Polish grape wines (with the exception of the “amateur wines” category) may participate, submitted by producers operating legally on the market. The total number of wines evaluated in the competition cannot exceed 300.
The wines are judged anonymously by a jury (usually composed of members of the Polish Sommelier Association, often with the participation of international experts) using the 100-point scale. Depending on the score, medals are awarded: Gold, Silver, Bronze, as well as distinctions – with a minimum threshold of 80 points. The jury may also grant the titles of Category Champion and Grand Prix for the best overall wine of the competition. Results are announced immediately after the jury’s deliberations on the organizers’ websites, while the award ceremony takes place during the International Wine Days in Jasło.
