Winnica Piwnice Półtorak

Piwnice Półtorak is one of the most prestigious vineyards in Poland, ranking first in the Forbes 2024 ranking. Located in Witryłów in the Podkarpacie region, in the heart of the picturesque San River valley, the vineyard extends over nearly 10 hectares of cultivated land.

Varietals include classic vitis vinifera such as chardonnay, riesling and pinot noir, as well as hybrid varieties such as solaris, regent, rondo and palava. The winery specialises in the creation of coupés, which win acclaim among sommeliers and restaurateurs. The production process takes place in accordance with ecological standards, under the supervision of oenologist Piotr Stopczyński.

Although Piwnice Półtorak is a unique place in terms of architecture and landscape, it does not conduct oenotourism activities. Wines go mainly to selected restaurants and hotels. Nevertheless, the winery plays a key role in the emerging "Przełom Sanu" wine micro-region and inspires the development of winemaking in the Podkarpacie region.

HISTORY OF Winnica Piwnice Półtorak

The Piwnice Półtorak project was initiated in 2011, when the owner decided to create a vineyard in a location with a unique microclimate - on the southern slope of Panska Gora, in Witryłów.

Initially, the plantings covered a few hectares, but over time the vineyard has grown to 10 hectares, part of which is earmarked for future replanting. From the beginning, the owners were guided by the idea of producing wine at the highest level, which resulted in cooperation with a recognised oenologist and the implementation of organic farming methods.

Piwnice Półtorak is not only about winemaking - the estate is home to ecological cultivation of blueberries, dogwood, and breeding of fallow deer and horses. Thanks to the care and long-term vision of the owners, the wines of this vineyard have won recognition in industry competitions and among connoisseurs. The ambition of the project is to further develop and consolidate the position of the wine region on the San River.
