Winnica Carolus
Carolus Vineyard is located in the village of Szczeka, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Rytwiany commune. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 190 meters above sea level. The cultivation area covers 1 hectare. Grape varieties grown include Marechal Foch, Rondo, Regent, Seyval Blanc, Hibernal, Gewürztraminer, Leon Millot, and Chardonnay.
The vineyard offers wine sales, tastings, vineyard tours, and accommodation. On the premises, there is a tasting room and a rental house with several rooms. Facilities for campers are also available.
HISTORY OF Winnica Carolus
Carolus Vineyard was established in 2007 by Wacław Szczoczarz. In 2010, his son Paweł joined him and currently manages the vineyard. In 2016, the vineyard was registered and began selling wines. In 2018, the cultivation area was expanded to 1 hectare with the planting of Leon Millot and Chardonnay varieties.
The vineyard gained recognition by providing wines for the papal table in the Vatican as part of the "Pan Karp" initiative, which promotes Polish products. Wines from Carolus Vineyard were served before two popes.
