TUCHOVINICONTEST
The TUCHOVINICONTEST International Wine Competition is held annually as part of the Tuchovinifest festival and has been organized since 2016. Both Polish and international wines may participate, submitted by producers and distributors. The wines are evaluated anonymously by a jury of at least five members, using a 100-point scale with extreme scores discarded. The competition covers a variety of categories, including white, red, rosé, sparkling, orange, and sweet wines.
Awards include Grand Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, as well as special titles – Champion for the best wine and Best Collection for a producer entering at least three wines. According to the rules, no more than 35% of submitted wines may receive a medal. Results are announced a few days after the jury’s deliberations, and the official award ceremony takes place during the festival.
