Polskie Korki

Polskie Korki Competition is held in Poznań and organized by the SPOT Foundation. The wine competition accompanies the Polskie Korki – Polish Wine Festival. Only grape wines made entirely from Polish-grown grapes, produced by entities registered with KOWR and compliant with Polish and EU regulations, may participate.

Wines are judged anonymously by a jury of sommeliers and wine professionals, using the 100-point scale. Categories include sparkling wines (classical and non-classical), white wines (various sugar levels), rosé, red, orange, and sweet wines.

The exclusive nature of the competition is emphasized by the fact that in each category only three main awards are granted: Gold Cork, Silver Cork, and Bronze Cork. The jury may also grant distinctions and special awards. Results are announced during the festival and published online. At the same time, a competition for the best wine label is held, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Corks also awarded.
