Galicja Vitis
The Galicja Vitis International Wine Competition takes place in Poland (recent editions have been held in Kraków) and has been organized since 2013. It is an international event open to wines submitted by producers and distributors from any country, provided they meet the official requirements. Wines are judged anonymously by five-member panels of professionals from several countries, using the OIV 100-point system (with extreme scores discarded). Categories include white, red, rosé, semi-sparkling and sparkling wines, as well as special styles (e.g. blanc-de-noir, naturally sweet wines, fortified wines).
Awards include the Grand Gold Medal (≥92 pts), Gold Medal (≥88 pts), and Silver Medal (≥84 pts), as well as Champion titles within category groups. The total number of medals is limited to 30% of submitted samples. Results are published on the organizer’s website after the jury sessions.
