Carpatia Vini

International Wine Competition “Carpatia Vini” Kombornia is organized by the ENO Carpathian Foundation and the Slow Beskid Foundation in cooperation with the Podkarpacie Winemakers’ Association. Its goal is to provide a professional evaluation of Carpathian region wines and to promote winemaking quality in this part of Europe. Producers, importers, and distributors from Carpathian countries (including Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Austria) as well as from other nations may submit their wines.

Wines are judged anonymously by five-member panels of international experts and sommeliers, using the OIV 100-point system. Categories include white wines (dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet), sparkling, rosé (dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet), red, and sweet or fortified wines.

Awards include Grand Gold (≥93 pts), Gold (≥87 pts), and Silver (≥83 pts) medals, as well as Champion titles for the highest-rated wines in the main categories. The jury may also grant additional distinctions and special prizes. Results are published on the organizers’ websites and shared with the wine press.
